I’ve said enough. I think we agree that something peculiar happened with the show at some point, and this was manifested by the mess of Chibnall’s tenure and the unsatisfactory elements of the latest RTD run. And I do agree also about UNIT and the series.

Is this spooky scene in the warehouse a throwback to the Autons? Umm no, the guy just got slimed (like Ghostbusters?)
If the guy can take a snapshot of Ruby from what – ten yards away, and get a good sharp recognisable photo, his phone must be a lot better than mine, I think.

@ps1l0v3y0u I do like arcs but they have not always “landed” well. I am perhaps thinking mostly of the two most recent series. RTD’s promise to make it “bigger and better” always made me groan. I might say the bbc’s behaviour was inexplicable but you may well get your wish @translatorcircuit, the days of The Corporation as we know it could be numbered. They know it. They literally cannot afford a challenging exciting show.

The main problem with Doctor Who is the BBC and their mismanagement or even abuse of the series!

I feel I need to remind people that there hasn’t been a full length (13 episode) series of Doctor Who since 2020! The COVID-19 Lockdown was the excuse for the 6 episode long series The Flux, but since then there’s been no excuse whstsoever!
